Stefan Johannes Morent
studied
Musicology and Computer Science at the University of Tübingen, Recorder and Historical Performance Practice with Kees Boeke and Medieval Music with Andrea von Ramm and Sterling Jones.
He taught in Trossingen, Vienna, Hamburg, Cologne, Heidelberg, Saarbrücken, Mannheim, Detmold and at the University of Berkeley/USA.
Since 2020, holder of the Chair of Digital Musicology and Music before 1600 at the Musicological Institute of the University of Tübingen.
Numerous publications on medieval performance practice as well as invitations as guest lecturer and speaker at academies, universities, festivals and international congresses and symposia in Europe, USA and Australia.
He is also the artistic director of the Via Mediaeval concert series.
